Seeking strength, confidence
and health longevity?
At Curate Personal Training I help you to build a positive relationship with yourself and your body. You will see yourself get stronger — both physically and mentally — more confident, and better able to manage everyday stressors outside of the gym. My approach is designed to give you long-term results in a way that is sustainable for you and your body.
I offer in-person and online training. For online training see Curate Online at the top of this page.
If you want to train in-person, contact me to today for a FREE trial session in my studio.
Working with your body, not against it.
My name is Rachael and I work with everyday people to improve their strength, confidence and capacity to deal with stress — long term.
If you’re anything like most of the people I work with, you might have tried workout programs before, or even tried to go it alone in the gym, but it didn’t stick. That’s because you haven’t found something that you actually enjoy that aligns with your body — I was the same. I used to have an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise and didn’t understand how to train or eat in a way that I could sustain long term. Exercise was the thing I felt that I had to do to change my body and I used it as an outlet for other stressors I was going through. This wasn’t healthy and it wasn’t long before I suffered a stress fracture to my hip and got diagnosed with depression.
That was 8 years ago.
It took a stress fracture to show me that I needed to slow down and build strength in a sustainable way, rather than punishing my body. The pivotal point for me was hiring a personal trainer who showed me that training for health longevity was possible. I realised that I needed to help other people do this too so I completed my Cert III and Cert IV in Fitness and studied under various mentors, before finally opening my own studio.
I’ve found that fitness isn’t a 12 week or 28 day challenge. The solution is a program and way of training that compliments your lifestyle. It took me a long time and a lot of resources to learn this but I’m proud to say I've put everything I've learned into a program that focuses on how training makes your body feel, rather than how much your body weighs.
